Rev. Chad O'Shea was born in Omaha (Om-Aha!), Nebraska, on May 8, 1934.
Ordained at Unity Village in 1977, he served Unity churches in Richmond VA, Warrensburg MO, Nashville TN, on a nationwide workshop tour, and finally, near Asheville NC (Arden/Fletcher/Mills River), where he grew a ministry and served for over 30 years.
The writings on this site are from his articles published in our Unity News & Views newsletter.
He raised three families, fathering 5 children and being stepfather to 3 more. He loved golf, fishing, most sports, food, politics, and jokes. More than that, he loved ministry: helping people and sharing his Truth with them on Sundays.
Chad made his transition to spirit form on Jan. 9, 2014, at the age of 79. When we told him he had advanced bladder cancer, we asked if he wanted to fight it. He said, "I just want to make love to it."
He was an extraordinary human being with a big heart and a clear understanding of the nature of how we create suffering on this earth.
Known for his humor and his hugs, he was dedicated to helping us learn to embrace all of life and "enjoy the Grace" of existence.
